As of May 1, 2010, Westbank is excited to announce a new partnership for donated prom dresses. Westbank and the Write to Me Foundation, created by Austinite Gigi Bryant, have teamed up to collect dresses that will benefit Bryant's Prom Princess/Prom Dude program. This organization serves area children in the foster care system.
Prom Princess/Prom Dude is an annual, one-day event where each child is treated to a day of special attention from head to toe and is hosted by the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. Each child will leave with full attire for their prom.
Donations of current prom dresses, like new shoes and accesories can be taken to any of our eight locations year-round.
Please see our donation guidelines below:
- Dresses should be no more than 5 or 6 years old and in good shape of any size
- We do not accept dresses with broken zippers, rips or tears or permanent stains. We do not accept wedding dresses
- Dresses should be clean and on hangers
- We do not accept tuxedo's or men's clothing
